Objectives of the Project

Specific objectives of the project are:

SO1: Empower Beauty Workers with Enhanced Competences to Contribute to the Identification of GBV Female Victims

SO2: Enhance Institutional Commitment to Mainstream GBV Training of Beauty Students and Empower Beauty VET Educators to Raise GBV Awareness among Students

SO3: Establish Collaborative Networks of VET Beauty Centres with Market Representatives

SO4: Advocate for the Integration and Empowerment of Beauty Workers as Non-GBV Specialists in National GBV SOPs

SO5: Increase Awareness and Visibility of GBV Issues Within the Beauty Industry and General Public

Expected Main Results

• National Standardised Non-Interventional GBV Handling Guides; a set of practical and culturally-adapted guidelines, incorporating the Psychological First Aid (PFA) framework, for beauty workers to be able to identify and effectively respond to GBV cases. The Guide will be distributed to beauty experts to share with their colleagues in the implementing countries and will be gradually integrated in their daily routine as a detection and response tool against GBV.
• GBV Awareness and Identification Training Program for Beauty Workers: a concrete training course will be embedded into an e-learning platform, providing open access to all interested parties all over Europe.
• Strategy Blueprint for Mainstreaming GBV Training: a practical guide for beauty schools and educational authorities to integrate GBV awareness training programs in already existing beauty The partnership’s aim is this Strategy to contribute to updating the training Curricula in beauty studies to help addressing social problems, such as GBV.
